2022-23 Big Ten Men's Basketball Scheduled Announced

ROSEMONT, ILL  – The Big Ten Conference announced the Maryland men's basketball team's 2022-23 conference schedule Thursday. The Terps will host the following Big Ten opponents at XFINITY Center in 2022-23: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin. The conference home opener will be played on Friday, Dec. 2 against NCAA Tournament team Illinois. 

In addition to Illinois, Maryland will host the following 2022 NCAA Tournament teams at XFINITY Center: Ohio State (Jan. 8), Michigan (Jan. 19), Wisconsin (Jan. 25), Indiana (Jan. 31) and Purdue (Feb. 16). The home finale will take place on Feb. 26 with the Terps hosting Northwestern.

Maryland hosts five games on weekend days (Friday through Sunday): Illinois (Friday, Dec. 2), Ohio State (Sunday, Jan. 8), Nebraska (Saturday, Jan. 28), Penn State (Saturday, Feb. 11) and Northwestern (Sunday, Feb. 26). 

The Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2022 through Sunday, March 12, 2022 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Of the Terps' 25 opponents in 2022-23, 14 played in the 2022 NCAA Tournament with Miami and Saint Peter's advancing to the Elite Eight along with Michigan, Providence, Purdue and UCLA playing in the Sweet 16. Overall, of the Terps' 31 scheduled regular-season games, 17 will be against teams that played in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
