Box Score ANN ARBOR, MI -- Three-seeded and eighth-ranked Maryland is returning to the Big Ten Field Hockey Championship game for the fifth time in history and first since 2018 after with a 2-1 victory over second-seeded and fifth-ranked Rutgers in the Big Ten Semifinals on Friday afternoon.
The Terps (16-4) will take on overall No. 1 and top-seeded Northwestern (17-1) on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Noon. That game will air on Big Ten Network. Maryland has won nine of its last 10 games overall surging into the NCAA Tournament next weekend.
Margot Lawn and Maci Bradford scored fourth-quarter goals for the Terps as they rallied from a 1-0 deficit entering the quarter. The goals came in the final 10 minutes of regulation.
In goal, freshman Alyssa Klebasko made five saves for Maryland.
Rutgers fell to 16-3 and has lost three of its last four games.

Then with 5:38 left in the fourth quarter, Maci Bradford scored on a rebound off a scramble from a penalty corner for the game-winner.

- The Terps hold a 36-5-1 all-time series lead over the Scarlet Knights, in a series that dates back to 1978.
