COLLEGE PARK, MD - No. 4 Maryland (3-1) welcomes No. 2 Notre Dame (3-0) to SECU Stadium on Saturday, March 4. The game marks the Fighting Irish's first trip to College Park since 2020, when the teams met prior to the COVID-19 shutdown. The game can be streamed live on B1G+.

Maryland opened its 2023 season with a dominating 15-4 home win over No. 19 Richmond (Feb. 4) but lost its first road game of 2023 with a 12-7 loss at Loyola (Feb. 11). The Terps rebounded with a pair of total-team-effort wins over then-No. 16 Syracuse, 15-12 at home on Feb. 18, and then-No. 6 Princeton, 11-5 on the road on Feb. 25.

The Irish are 3-0 on the season. After a pair of double-digit victories at home over Marquette (21-10, Feb. 15) and Cleveland State (18-8, Feb. 19), Notre Dame went on the road for the first time in 2023 and won a 15-8 decision at then-No. 16 Georgetown (Feb. 25).

  • The Fighting Irish's first regular season game in College Park came in 2004 and saw sophomore midfielder Brendan Healy score the game-winning goal in the second overtime to give Maryland a 9-8 win. Grad student Tim McGinnis made 16 stops in cage, while sophomore Joe Walters led the scoring with a hat trick.
