COLLEGE PARK, MD – Head coach Lauren Karn has announced the Maryland softball program's 2026 schedule. In her first two years leading the Terps, she compiled a 42-61 overall record while coaching two All-Big Ten selections and earning three victories over Top-25 opponents. 

The Terps will play 14 games against six teams that participated in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including series against Central Florida, Howard, Virginia and Big Ten opponents Oregon and Washington.

Maryland's early schedule includes tournaments at the University of Central Florida (Feb. 6-8), East Carolina (Feb. 13-15), Virginia (Feb. 19-20), and Liberty (Feb. 21). The Terps will open their home season with four games in the annual Terrapin Invitational (Feb. 27 - Mar. 1).

The Terps will also play series against Indiana, Wisconsin, Penn State, Oregon, Illinois and Michigan State. Maryland will play six midweek games against Oakland (Mar. 3), Delaware (Mar. 4), George Washington (Mar. 18), Morgan State (Mar. 25), Georgetown (Apr 8), Howard (Apr 15), and Delaware on the road (Apr. 22)

Big Ten play begins at home with a three-game series against Rutgers in the Maryland Softball Complex. Maryland will be on the road to continue Big Ten play against Washington from Mar. 13-15. The Huskies lost in the 2025 first round of the NCAA Tournament, finishing with a 35-19 record.

The Terps welcome 12 newcomers, including five freshman, and seven transfers including graduate student Lauren Caye, senior Caroline Fox, juniors Caitlin Olensky Logan Turner and Jaylee Williams, sophomores Anna McGowan and Biz Baglieri

The Maryland softball team will host the Big Ten Tournament for the upcoming 2026 season at the University of Maryland Softball Stadium, May 6-9.
