As a Freshman (2013-2014): served a redshirt year and wrestled in open competition ... won three matches at the Clarion Open ... won two matches at the Bearcat Open.

Before Maryland: Named the 2012-13 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Wrestler of the Year … a three-time VISAA champion winning at 152 in 2013, at 145 in 2012 and at 130 in 2011 … a three-time National Prep All-American … placed sixth at the 2011 Beast of the East.
