return this fall -- including LaMont Jordan, the Heisman Trophy candidate from Maryland who, last season, recorded the ACC's best season ever by a junior ... Jordan led the country through the final six games of 1999 and is the NCAA's leading active career rusher entering the 2000 campaign ... in all 10 of the
league's Top 15 rushers are back in
the fold for 2000.

from a year ago are expected to
return for the 2000 season ...
Florida State leads all ACC teams
with 61 lettermen back from 1999
... eight returning Seminoles
earned first or second team

... Wake Forest's John Stone who
averaged 29.9 yards on 15 kickoff
returns is back for his junior season
... Clemson's Robert Carswell who
tied with Maryland's Lewis Sanders
for the league lead with six
interceptions returns as does fellow
Tiger defensive stalwart Keith
Adams who led the nation with 176
tackles and 33 tackles for losses
