COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
First-year head coach Ralph Friedgen and his football Terps will close out their spring workouts with the annual spring game this Saturday in Byrd Stadium.
The game, which is slated to get underway at 4 p.m., will be preceded by a Terrapin FanFest beginning at 3 p.m. on the stadium concourse. Activities include an autograph signing by Terrapin players, inflatable games, and appearances by characters from Six Flags America. Free T-shirts will be distributed to the first 3,000 University of Maryland students.
Admission is free.
Fans who wish to tailgate are encouraged to do so in Lot 1 and Lot Z. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Following the game, fans will be available to purchase food and beverages at the post-game picnic to be held on the Terps' practice field adjacent to Byrd Stadium.
For Terp fans unable to watch Saturday's spring game in person, tune in to WTEM (980 AM), WBAL (1090 AM) or listen on the Terps' official athletic website (umterps.com) as Maryland's radio crew of Johnny Holliday and Jonathan Claiborne provide on-site coverage of the day's activities. The special one-hour broadcast, featuring interviews with Maryland coaches and others, will air live from 4-5 p.m.
On Friday, April 27, more than 80 former Maryland grid alums will take part in the annual Terrapin football golf outing at the University of Maryland Golf Course.
