COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland's football program, which is coming off an 11-3 campaign and a season-ending victory over Tennessee in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, has been ranked among the nation's Top 25 in two recent preseason surveys.

The Terps are ranked 12th by ESPN.com's lead college football writer, Ivan Maisel, and 17th in the Athlon Sports College Football preseason annual.

Maryland, one of only five NCAA Division I-A programs nationwide to win at least 10 games in each of the past two seasons, returns a total of 17 starters from last year's team, which ended the campaign ranked 13th in both major Top 25 polls.
