Terps Men's Tennis Back in Action at Home Over the Weekend

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 63 Maryland men's tennis team will be back in action at home this weekend as it plays host to No. 9 North Carolina on Friday, and No. 40 Duke on Sunday.

The Terps (9-5, 1-4) are 9-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming against No. 1 and still undefeated Virginia.

Maryland has two ranked doubles teams in No. 18-ranked Andrew Orban and Boris Fetbroyt, and No. 40-ranked Nickolai Nielsen and Amit Inbar. Inbar is also ranked at singles, and is No. 68 in the nation in the most recent ITA rankings.

North Carolina (12-3, 2-0) has four ranked singles players in No. 71 Chris Kearney, No. 78 Stefan Hardy, No. 112 Benjamin Carlotti, and No. 122 Lenny Gullan.

The Tarheels, who have won eight consecutive matches, also have two ranked doubles teams in the No. 4-ranked team of Kearney and Taylor Fogleman, and the No. 43-ranked pair of Hardy and Clay Donato.

Duke (5-9, 2-2) is coming off road losses to Florida State and Wake Forest, and has two players ranked at singles with No. 51 David Goulet and No. 57 Reid Carleton.

Maryland will begin their bid to earn double-digit wins for the second year in a row Friday, at 3 p.m. in the match against North Carolina, and will then face Duke Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played at the Tennis Center at College Park.
