• Maryland improves its record to 3-0 while Old Dominion falls to 0-2.
• Maryland has started the season 3-0 for the sixth time in head coach Brenda Frese's eight years as head coach at Maryland.
• Maryland has won 39 consecutive home games, extending the school record.
• Maryland continues to lead the all-time series with Old Dominion, 12-8. The Terrapins have now won the last 10 matchups dating back to the 1985-86 season.
• The Terrapins are now 2-0 this season when scoring 80 points or more. They defeated North Carolina Central in the season opener, 88-39.
• Lineup: Anjalé Barrett, Lynetta Kizer, Yemi Oyefuwa, Lori Bjork, Diandra Tchatchouang. This starting lineup is 3-0 on the season.
• Key run: After eight lead changes in the first half, sophomore center Lynetta Kizer hit a layup with 8:04 on the clock to inspire a 17-2 run by the Terrapins, taking Maryland to a 15-point lead over Old Dominion. The Terps headed into halftime ahead, 43-30. Maryland also went on a 16-3 run in the opening three minutes of the second half to lead by 26 points.
• At least three Terrapins scored in double digits for the third time this season: Lynetta Kizer (19), Diandra Tchatchouang (22), Tianna Hawkins (11) and Anjalé Barrett (10).
• Maryland outscored the Lady Monarchs 42-20 in the paint.
• The Terrapin received an impressive 24 points from the bench.
• Maryland out-rebounded Old Dominion, 35-28. This is the third straight time the Terrapins have overpowered their opponent on the boards.
• Maryland improved its percentage from behind the arc hitting 7-of-12 (.583), five of which were in the first half.
• Freshman forward Diandra Tchatchouang led the team in points with a career-high 22 (8-of-11), including a flawless performance from 3-point range hitting all three attempted treys, another career best. She also dished out a career-high three assists, one block and one steal.
• Sophomore center Lynetta Kizer earned her 10th career and first season double-double with 19 points and a season-high 10 boards. She posted double-digit points in all three games this season.
• Freshman forward Tianna Hawkins was 4-for-4 from the floor and hit 3-of-4 from the charity stripe for 11 points. She also grabbed six boards. Hawkins has scored in double digits twice this season.
• Sophomore guard Anjalé Barrett tallied a season-high 10 points, three assists and hit a career high-tying three free throws.
• Senior guard Lori Bjork notched a season-high three treys in a season-high 30 minutes of play.
• Freshman guard Dara Taylor dished out a career-high nine assists and added five rebounds and six points.
