As a sophomore: Indoor- Placed 15th at the Maryland Invitational in the mile...Outdoor- Competed in three meets for the Terps...finished seventh in the 5,000 meter run at the Maryland Invitational with a time of 15:51.18.

Before Maryland: Ran four years of varsity cross country for South Carroll High School, assisting in the school’s back-to-back state championships in 1997 and 1998…won four varsity letters in track and two in indoor track…selected to All-County outdoor track team four times…named to all-county and all-CMC cross country teams four times…was part of the school’s record-holding 4x800 team …named to the All-Baltimore Metro team twice…was recruited by Penn State, Frostburg, and LaSalle.
