Cummings Earns B1G Weekly Honor

ROSEMONT, Ill. – After leading the No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team to two wins over ranked opponents last week, senior midfielder Taylor Cummings was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
 
Against No. 11 Princeton, Cummings scored twice while adding eight draw controls and four ground balls. Against No. 8 Ohio State, Cummings tallied seven points on five goals and two assists while also picking up four draw controls and five ground balls.
 
In conference play, the Ellicott City, Md., native leads the Big Ten with 4.00 goals and 5.00 points per game.
 
The Terps compete in their regular season home finale against former conference foe Virginia Wednesday. Opening draw is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
