COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The 13th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (17-3, 6-1 B1G) will take on Northwestern (9-12, 2-5) Thursday at 8 p.m. ET at Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Ill. The Wildcats' Welsh-Ryan Arena is currently being renovated.

The Terrapins are coming off of a 99-69 rout of No. 12/8 Ohio State Monday night in College Park. Kaila Charles led the way with a career-high 32 points with seven boards. Eleanna Christinaki scored 26 points, 21 in the first half, with eight boards and Stephanie Jones scored 14. Brianna Fraser chipped in 12 points off the bench and Channise Lewis dished 10 assists with just one turnover.
Thursday’s matchup is the seventh all-time between Maryland and Northwestern, with the Terps winning the six previous meetings. Most recently, Maryland won 96-65 in College Park on Jan. 7, 2017. Ieshia Small added 14 points and Kristen Confroy scored 12. Brenda Frese is 7-0 vs. the Wildcats.
Seven Terrapins are scoring in double figures - Kaila Charles (17.9), Blair Watson (13.8), Eleanna Christinaki (13.1), Stephanie Jones (11.8), Ieshia Small (10.8), Brianna Fraser (10.6) and Kristen Confroy (10.4). Maryland is the only team in the country with seven in double figures.
The Terrapins are currently ranked No. 4 in the country in scoring (86.0), scoring margin (+23.7) and three-point field goal percentage (.404). Confroy is leading the Big Ten and is No. 8 in the country in three-point FG percentage (.467). Kaila Charles is No. 4 in the league in FG percentage (.524) and Channise Lewis is No. 4 in the Big Ten in assists (5.2).
Charles has scored in double figures in 18 of 20 games this season. Kristen Confroy has played in 103 straight games, dating back to February of her freshman year. Confroy has made 191 career threes and moved to No. 2 on Maryland's all-time list earlier this month. She is also No. 3 in the Maryland record books in career three-point percentage (.403).
Maryland is ranked No. 14 in the Associated Press poll and No. 13 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
Maryland lost second leading scorer Blair Watson for the season with a torn right ACL suffered Jan. 10 in practice. Watson is the Terps’ second-leading scorer with 13.8 points through 17 games this season. She is the Big Ten’s most improved scorer and ranked third in the league in three-point field goal percentage (.441).
After Thursday's contest, Maryland will return home to host Rutgers (17-5, 5-3) Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center in the Terrapins' annual Play4Kay Pink Game.
