COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The 10th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (18-3, 7-1 B1G) will host Rutgers (17-6, 5-4) Thursday at 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center in the Terrapins' annual Pink Game for breast cancer awareness. The Terrapins will attempt to break a world record by having the most people simultaneously blowing pink bubbles between the first and second quarters.

The Terrapins are coming off of a 68-65 win at Northwestern Thursday. Kaila Charles fought through foul trouble to lead the way with 17 points. Eleanna Christinaki added 15 and Brianna Fraser scored 13, including nine in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Charles was named Big Ten Player of the Week and USBWA National Player of the Week Monday for averaging 24.5 points and shooting 76 percent from the field in the Terps' wins over Ohio State and at Northwestern.
Thursday’s matchup is the 35th all-time between Maryland and Rutgers. Maryland owns the series, 23-11 and won has won all four meetings since joining the league in 2014. On Jan. 22 last year, Maryland won 80-71 behind 18 points from Kaila Charles. Brenda Frese is 5-1 vs. Rutgers in her career and the Terps are 3-0 vs. Rutgers in the XFINITY Center.
Seven Terrapins are scoring in double figures - Kaila Charles (17.8), Blair Watson (13.8), Eleanna Christinaki (13.3), Stephanie Jones (11.6), Brianna Fraser (10.8), Ieshia Small (10.5) and Kristen Confroy (10.1). Maryland is the only team in the country with seven in double figures.
The Terrapins are currently ranked No. 4 in the country in scoring margin (+22.7), No. 5 in scoring (85.1) and No. 6 in three-point field goal percentage (.400). Confroy is leading the Big Ten and is No. 84 in the country in three-point FG percentage (.467). Kaila Charles is No. 5 in the league in FG percentage (.532) and Channise Lewis is No. 3 in the Big Ten in assists (5.3).
Charles has scored in double figures in 19 of 21 games this season. Kristen Confroy has played in 104 straight games, dating back to February of her freshman year. Confroy has made 191 career threes and moved to No. 2 on Maryland's all-time list in January. She is also No. 3 in the Maryland record books in career three-point percentage (.403).
Maryland is ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press poll and No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
After Thursday's matchup, the Terrapins will play at Nebraska (16-6, 7-2) Sunday at 3 p.m. ET at the Huskers' Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
