What is mobile ticketing?
Mobile ticketing allows you to use your mobile device as your game ticket. Fans will gain admission into the venue via a unique QR code which will be scanned directly from your mobile device.
Which sports will have mobile ticketing available?
All tickets for the sports listed below will be distributed via mobile delivery:
- Football
- Men’s Basketball
- Women’s Basketball
- Volleyball
- Wrestling
- Men’s Lacrosse
There will be no physical ticket books for season or individual game ticket holders and print-at-home (PDF) tickets will no longer be available. Season parking passes will continue to be in hard form.
Why is Maryland Athletics transitioning to mobile ticketing?
Mobile ticketing increases the security of the ticket buying and event entry process. Mobile ticketing also provides:
- Reduced risk of lost, stolen or counterfeit tickets
- Quick and easy entry into the venue
- The ability to manage, transfer or sell your tickets at any time directly from your mobile device
I have never used My Account before. Do I already have an account? Do I need to create a new one?
If you have ever purchased or renewed tickets through umterps.com, you already have a registered online account. If you do not know your password, click on “Forgot Password?” to have a temporary password link emailed to you. If you do not have a registered online ticket account and you do not know your Pin #, please contact the Terrapin Ticket Office at
terptix@umd.edu to link your account.
What are the device and software requirements for mobile-only entry?
Mobile tickets can only be used on devices with the Apple Wallet or Google Pay apps installed. For the best experience on an iPhone, we recommend that you update to the latest version of iOS. Apple Pay is supported on iOS 8.1 (and higher) on the iPhone 6 or higher. Google Pay is supported on devices using Android 5.0 (and higher). Many popular Android phones support Google Pay, including Samsung Galaxy (S6 Edge or higher), LG (Q8, Q7, G7 ThinQ, V35 ThinQ), and Google Pixel (Pixel 1 or higher).
What if I do not have a smartphone, or if my phone battery dies on game day?
You will need to visit the Terrapin Ticket Office Customer Service window at the venue on game day. You will be required to show a valid photo ID that matches the name of the ticket account on file.
Will a screenshot, photocopy or a picture of my ticket be permitted for entry?
No, a mobile ticket must be provided either within your Manage My Account (umterps.com) on your mobile device or within your phone’s digital wallet to gain entry. Photocopies, scans, and pictures of hard tickets will also not be permitted for entry.
When will my season tickets be available on my account?
Season tickets will be emailed a few weeks prior to each season and will be available for download through your My Account page. A formal announcement will be sent to season ticket holders with the exact date and time their tickets will be available online for each sport.
When will my individual game tickets be available?
Individual game tickets will be emailed shortly after your purchase is complete and will be available to download through your My Account page.
How do I access my tickets?
Visit umterps.com, click on Buy Ticket and select the “=” icon in the top right corner. Select “My Account” and log in. Once logged in, you will find all of your active tickets. From there, you can download tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay or transfer tickets to a friend.
What if I lose/delete my ticket delivery email?
Visit umterps.com, click on Buy Tickets and select the “=” icon in the top right corner. Select “My Account” and log in. There you will be able to add your tickets back to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
Can I have multiple tickets on the same mobile device?
Yes. You can view all of your tickets by swiping left or right on your smartphone. We highly encourage that you transfer a ticket to each member of your party to allow for the easiest entry and access throughout the venue.
What if my guest(s) and I are arriving at different times?
If arriving separately, you can transfer a ticket to each member of your party. This will allow you and your guest(s) to arrive at your own convenience. Via My Account, select the tickets you wish to transfer and enter their cell phone number. They will receive a text message instructing them to accept their tickets. They will need to log into their existing Maryland account or simply create an account to accept their tickets. Once your guest(s) have accepted the transfer, they will be able to add the tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
What if I don’t have wi-fi connectivity on game day?
Before arriving at the game, download your tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Once the tickets are downloaded, connectivity or Wi-Fi is not required to access your tickets. If you did not download your tickets in advance, , please visit the Terrapin Ticket Office customer service window located at each of the prospective venues.
