Merci Falaise was hired as Maryland's General Manager for Player Personnel in November 2023. 

Falaise arrives in College Park after working at NC State from 2017-23 in a variety of roles. He was the Wolfpack's Director of Player Personnel/General Manager from 2021-23, becoming the first black person with that title in the Power 5 conferences.

Falaise was NC State's director of recruiting and assistant director of player personnel from 2017-21.

The Washington, Ga., native was chosen to participate in an NFL Nunn-Wooten Scouting Fellowship with the San Francisco 49ers organization in 2020 and 2022.

In 2022, Falaise was also recognized by On3 as a "personnel and recruiting rising star." He has assisted in the signing of six of the top 25 all-time NC State commits as ranked by 247, as well as the top two recruiting classes (2022, 2023) based on player-ranking averages. The 2023 Wolfpack class boasted the highest number of four-star signees in the past 10 years. 

The Wolfpack produced 11 first-team and 30 total All-ACC performers since the 2018 recruiting class under Falaise's leadership.

Falaise came to NC State after three seasons working on the football staff at Tennessee. During his stint with the Volunteers, UT recruited three top-10 classes.  

Falaise was the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Garden City Community College in 2014, where he coached Tyreek Hill - the top-ranked JUCO player at the time. At GCCC, he personally signed 48 of the players on the roster.

Falaise also coached two seasons on the high school level in his home state of Georgia at Washington-Wilkes High School and Greene County High School. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Georgia Military College in charge of the offensive line and tight ends.

After beginning his playing career at Georgia Military College where he was a first-team NJCAA All American, Falaise transferred to NC State. After earning his bachelor's degree in sports management from NC State, he received a master's in management and leadership from Liberty University in 2012.
