Rachel Palmer has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Development & Event Marketing since April 2025. In this role, Palmer directs the day-to-day operations of the Fan Development & Event Marketing unit, in addition to directly overseeing football marketing and fan experience efforts.
Palmer has previously served in a variety of elevated roles since joining the Maryland staff as a Marketing Assistant during the 2018-19 athletic season. Prior to coming to Maryland, Palmer was a graduate assistant for Strategic Marketing and Fan Engagement at the University of Virginia.
A native of Chesapeake, Va., Palmer graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's degree in Politics and American Studies and a master's degree in Marketing and Management.
