Biography

AS A SENIOR (2018): Academic All-Big Ten... appeared in 28 games and started in 23 after missing the first half of the season due to injury...  ranked third on team in batting average (.268)... tied for third on team in sac bunts (4)... had a .321 slugging percentage... made first appearance and had a hit in win against North Dakota (3/17)... went 1-for-3 scoring a run and had an RBI in second game against Iowa (3/31)... went 1-for-2 scoring a run last game of the series at Illinois (4/8)... went 1-for-3 and scored a run in win against Saint Francis (PA) (4/11)... hit 4-for-8 in series against Indiana (4/13-14)... hit 1-for-2  in second game at No. 14 Michigan (4/21).... started a four-game run streak at Ohio State (4/29)... went 1-for-2 scoring a run and an RBI in first game of series against Michigan State (5/4)... Went 3-for-4 scoring three runs two RBIs one double and one triple in last regular game of the season against Michigan State (5/5).

AS A JUNIOR (2017): Started in 39 games...ranked first on team in stolen bases (4) and steal attempts...tied for second on team in sac bunts (5)... went 2-for-3 with an RBI single against Stephen F. Austin (3/4)... threw out the potential game-tying run at the plate in 2-1 win against Michigan (4/15)...tallied three hits, including a triple, in DH against Rutgers (5/3)...Academic All-Big Ten.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Started all 52 games in the outfield...hit at a .256 clip with a .308 on base percentage and .278 slugging percentage...ranked third on the team in runs scored (23)...led the team in three-hit games (four)...started off the season scorching hot, notching three hits in two games at the Kajikawa Classic...recorded first collegiate hit in three hit game in win over Boise State (2/12)...followed that up with three hit game the next day in win against San Diego (2/13), with first extra base hit of the year in a RBI double...robbed go-ahead two-run dinger and tallied one hit against No. 5 Alabama (2/19)...was the hero against Mercer, smashing walk-off single as part of furious Maryland comeback (2/20) in 3-for-5 showing and reached high point batting average mark (.435)...went 1-for-4 and scored run in second game against the No. 5 Crimson Tide (2/21)...scored two runs in thrilling extra inning win over Florida Atlantic (2/27)...hit safely in back to back games in District Invite (3/5-6)...went 1-for-3 with a run scored against George Washington (3/5)...reached base twice via single and walk against Columbia (3/6)...tallied a hit, run scored, and stolen base against BYU (3/11)...started five game hitting streak against Binghamton (3/20)...racked three hits in Ohio State series (3/25-27)...went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in home win over Nebraska (4/1)...walked three times and scored a run against Michigan State (4/10)...had fourth three-hit game of the season in series clinching win over Michigan State (4/10) including both a run and RBI...had 4-for-9 weekend at Penn State that featured a 2-for-3 game in the series finale...tallied a single, run and walk in series opener against Indiana (5/7)...finished season strong with 2-for-3, two run game in season ending win over Indiana (5/8).

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Appeared in four games...started in right field in first collegiate game against #24 Notre Dame (2/19)...also appeared in pinch-hitting role against Northern Iowa (3/1), Rhode Island (3/7), and Lafayette (3/15). 

Before Maryland: Competed for the Corona Angels - Tyson, one of the top travel ball organizations in the country...has spent her entire softball career competing with, and against, some of the most elite players in the game...played shortstop and second base at Henry J. Kaiser High School...earned first team All-State honors in 2012 and 2014...claimed first team All-League honors from 2010-to-2014...batted .453 her senior season and .443 during her junior campaign...helped lead the squad to a CIF title her sophomore year...also was an All-League soccer player.

Personal: Daughter of Darryl and Christina Henderson...lists sports hero as Derek Jeter...worked on speed during the offseason...came to Maryland because, "the pride is unreal"...says her favorite pregame meal is pasta...advice to young players is to, "grip this experience with both hands"...plans to become an attorney...criminal justice major.
