As a senior (2020): Team captain…played in all six games as member of second line midfield…had an assist in season-opener vs. High Point (2/1)…scored a goal and tallied an assist vs. Notre Dame (2/29)…Academic All-Big Ten.

As a junior (2019): Played in all 17 games on the second line midfield...finished with seven points, recording six points in team’s final six games...scored first career goal at Navy (2/23)...notched an assist at Rutgers (4/14)...posted season-high two points at #9 Ohio State (4/20)...scored a goal vs. #20 Johns Hopkins (4/27)...posted an assist vs. #8 Towson in NCAA First Round (5/12)...had an assist in NCAA Quarterfinals vs. Virginia (4/18).   

As a sophomore (2018): Appeared in one game ... a key member of the scout team.

As a freshman (2017): Appeared in two games for 2017 National Champions ... made collegiate debut at St. Joseph's (2/14) ... notched first career assist vs. High Point (2/18).

Before Maryland: Rated the 55th overall player and 19th among midfielders in the 2016 Class by Inside Lacrosse … Under Armour All-American … selected First Team All-Conference and First Team All-County … totaled 30 goals and 22 assists in 2016 … played club lacrosse for Primetime Lacrosse under Nick Daniello.

Personal: Full name is Russell Thomas Masci … son of Peter and Christine Masci … father played basketball at Hamilton College and mother ran track at Binghamton University … brother of Kathryn and Elizabeth … sports hero is Corey Schneider … enjoys snowboarding and fishing … lists biggest sports thrill as rivalry games … was also recruited by Army, Navy and Rutgers.
