As a Freshman (2017): Backed up starting keeper Dayne St. Clair...did not see game action.

Before Maryland: Dutch heritage and has played in Holland for the last year and a half. A 6-3 goalkeeper, de Waal-Hart played at Kelvin Grove State College, graduating in 2015. He then played for the Dutch club MVV Maastricht in Holland.
