As a Sophomore: Indoor- Set new personal bests in the weight throw three meets in a row...recorded team top marks in the shot put and weight throw...never finished below fifth in the shot put...placed second in the weight throw at the Maryland Invitational and third at the Delaware Invitational and Maryland Invitational (II)...personal record in weight throw 50-8.25, set at the Maryland Invitational (II)...placed third at the Thomson Invitational in the shot put, throwing a season-best distance of 44-11...Outdoor- Recorded team top marks in the hammer, shot put and discus...set new personal record in the discus of 144-3 at the Patriot Open, taking second place...finished second in the hammer at the Maryland Invitational and third at the James Madison Invitational...best shot put throw was 45-8.5 for seventh place at the Miami Gatorade Invitational.
Before Maryland: Won four varsity letters in track at George Mason High School in Falls Church, Va....attended Towson from 2001-2002 and competed in shot put and weight throw...named Most Outstanding Track and Field Athlete three times while at George Mason...was Virginia Northern Region Powerlifting Champion in 2000 and 2001...was track team captain his senior year...also during his senior year, was district champion in shot put and discus...was state runner-up in shot put...holds high school records in shot put and discus...competes in Scottish Highland Games...bests: Shot put: 51-7; Discus: 141-6.
Personal: Patrick Beauregard Fay...born March 12, 1983...son of Patrick and Flora Fay...has one brother, Charlie, who played football for Bloomsburg.
