Biography
As a Sophomore: Indoor- Held team top times in the 800 and 1,000 meter runs as well as the mile run...set new personal record in the mile at the Meyo Invitational (4:14.18)...won the mile run at the Delaware Invitational and placed third at the Maryland Invitational... finished seventh in the 800 meter run at the Terrapin Invitational with a time of 2:00.98...took first in the 1,000 meter run at the Maryland Invitational (II).
Before Maryland: Won varsity letters in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Md....led his team to two state cross country championships and two state indoor track championships...was the MVP and captain of his team in 2001...was a two-time individual regional champion...was the leadoff runner on a 4x800 state champion team...was a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.92 GPA.
