As a Redshirt-Sophomore: Indoor Season-- Competed in both the shot put and the weight throw ... had the second highest shot put distance on the team (42-3.50), finishing sixth at the Meyo Invitational ... finished third in the shot put and fifth at the Delaware Invitational ... finished tenth in the shot put at the ACC Championships ... Outdoor Season-- Top Terp at the ACC Championships in the discus placing seventh (139-2), and also threw a career-best in the shot put (42-8)... began the season strong with a career-best throw of 144-6 to place fourth at the Alabama Relays ... placed fifth in the discus at the JMU Invitational ... finished well in the discus at the competitive Sea Ray Invitational ... came in second in the discus and fourth in the shot put at the Maryland Invitational.
As a Sophomore: Redshirted the 2001 season due to injury.
As a Freshman: Received varsity letters in both indoor and outdoor track ... career-best indoor shot put of 42-7 1/2 at the ACC Championships ... earned her first career individual title as she won the discus (128-10) at the Terrapin Invitational ... a second first-place finish came with a career-best throw in the discus (141-1) at the George Mason Invitational ... finished in second place in the shot put event (40-1 1/4) at the Terrapin Invitational ... competed in the discus (136-9, seventh place) and shot put (40-0-3/4, eighth place) in the ACC Outdoor Championships.
Before Maryland: Graduated from Passaic High School in 1999 ... a four-year varsity letterwinner in track ... the 1999 state champion in the shot put and discus ... the 1998 state champion in the shot put ... state record holder in the shot put and discus events ... all-county first-team in the shot put and discus as a junior and senior ... two-time league champion in the shot put ... earned the student-athlete of the year following her senior season.
