Most recently, Gorham had spent two years coaching at the nationally known Glenarden Track Club in Glenarden, Md. He also spent two years coaching at Passaic High School in Passaic, N.J. During these stops, he also worked for three years under Curtis Faye at the University of South Carolina track and field camps.

Gorham played basketball at Tennessee for two seasons. He is married, with five children, three of whom are currently running track and field in college.
