2019 Outdoor: Academic All-Big Ten... opened the outdoor season with a win in the 5K (14:58.25) at the Maryland Invitational (3/16/19)... placed ninth in the 5K (14:58.51) and 26th in the 1500m (4:07.94) at the UNF Spring Break Invitational (3/21/19)... won the 5K (14:55.12) at the 2019 Navy Spring Meet (3/30/19)... finished fifth in the 1500m (3:59.75) at the UVA Quad Meet (4/6/19)... placed 12th in the 10K (30:28.92) at the Virginia Challenge (4/19/19)... won the 5K (15:10.40) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet (5/3/19)... finished 14th in the 10K (30:37.51) at the Big Ten Championships (5/10/19)

2019 Indoor: Did not compete

2018 Outdoor: Academic All-Big Ten...finished 2nd in the 5000m (14:35.49) at the Maryland Invitational (3/17)...placed 2nd in the 5000m (15:08.49), and also the 1500m (4:00.33) at the USF Bulls Invitational (3/22-23)...captured 1st in the 5000m (14:44.28) at the 2018 Navy Men’s Invitational (3/31)...placed 1st in the 5000m (15:01.19) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet 2018 (5/4)...finished 22nd in the 10000m (31:52.24) at the Big Ten Championships.

2018 Indoor: Competed in three events including the mile, 3000m and 5000m...placed 1st in the 5000m (14:47.49) at the Penn State National (1/26-27)...placed 2nd and set a career best in the 3000m (8:25.85) at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational 2018 (2/2-3)...captured 1st and recorded his career best in the 5000m (14:32.15) at he Spire NCAA D-1 Indoor Track & Field Classic (2/9-10).

2017 Outdoor: Academic All-Big Ten...Competed at seven events… finished 3rd in the 1500m (3:57.50) and also took 1st place in the 3000S (9:43.11) at the Hopkins Invitational (4/14)…won the 3000m (8:40.26) during the Maryland Invitational (3/18)…finished 12th in the 1500m (3:58.63) and 2nd place in the 5000m (14:51.35) during the UNF Spring Break Invitational (3/24)…placed 2nd in the 10000m (30:19.43) at the Colonial Relays (3/30-4/1)… finished 11th in the 1500m (4:00.46) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet (5/5)…finished in the 11th place in the 10000m (30:00.12) during the Big Ten Championships (5/12-14).

2017 Indoor: Competed at five events…finished 8th in the 3000m (8:35.82) at the Wagner Invitational (1/6)…finished in 6th place in the 3000m (8:34.37) at the Nittany Lion Challenge (1/14)…placed 2nd in the 5000m (15:15.06) during the Terrapin Invitational (1/21)…finished in 3rd in the Mile (4:17.36) at the Wesley A. Brown Men’s Invitational (1/28)…finished 28th in the 3000m (8:43.45) during the Armory Track Invitational (2/3-4).

Before Maryland: Distance runner under coach Mark Ladolcetta at Madison High School…finished third in Morris county in the 3200m with a 9:34 time…participated on the University of Maryland Club Running Team…broke club records in the 3000m, 5000m and 10000m…named National Intercollegiate Running Club Association All-American…lists personal bests as 1600m-4:27, 3200m-9:34, 5000m (XC)- 16:24…named to Deans List in all four of his collegiate semesters.

Personal: Son of Stephan and Kathy Hanley…brother of Kaitlin, Meaghan and Bridget…majoring in mechanical engineering…sports hero is Lionel Messi…lists biggest sports thrill as setting a personal record…enjoys hanging out with friends and playing the piano…came to Maryland for the great engineering school and the beautiful campus.
