Kelly Pauls joined the University of Maryland Sports Medicine staff in July of 2018 as an assistant athletic trainer with the women's gymnastics program.
Prior to coming to College Park, Kelly spent a year at the Ohio State University working with both men's and women's gymnastics as well as men's and women's fencing.
In 2018, Kelly graduated from the University of Akron with a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Adult Fitness. During her 2 years at Akron she worked closely with the Zips women's swimming and diving program who were crowned MAC champions both years and made trips to the NCAA Championships in Indianapolis and Columbus. Kelly also worked closely with the Zips football program during their 2017 campaign where they went to the MAC championship game as well as the Cheri Bundi Tart Cherry Bowl in Boca Raton, FL.
Kelly attended the University of South Carolina for her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. While at South Carolina, Kelly worked with the Gamecock men's and women's tennis teams, the track and field program as well as the football team.
Kelly is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), is trained in Graston M1 & M2 Techniques, and is CPR/AED certified.
A native of South Plainfield, NJ, Kelly currently resides in Washington, D.C. with her dog Boone.
