As a Redshirt Junior in 2013: Saw playing time in season opener against Richmond (2/10)... earned a draw control against William & Mary (3/20).

As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2012: Has played in eight games for the Terps...notched a caused turnover vs. No. 17 Penn State (2/19).

As a Redshirt Freshman: Saw action in the Terp wins against Delaware (2/16), George Mason (3/8), Stony Brook (3/22), No. 12 Princeton (4/13) and Virginia Tech (4/16)...tallied a ground ball and a caused turnover vs. Mason.

As a Freshman in 2010: Served a redshirt season.

Prep: Barber lettered in both field hockey and lacrosse at Robinson Secondary...racked up first team All-American, Concorde District, and Northern Region honors as a senior...was also tabbed Northern Region Defender of the Year and second team All-Met...2009 Tewaaraton Watch List...as a junior, Barber tallied nine goals, four assists, 17 caused turnovers and 19 draw controls as a captain for the 12-3 Rams...also tabbed a Concorde District and Northern Region selection in 2008 as the Rams were crowned Concorde District champions...competed for the Capital Lacrosse Club.

Personal: Samantha Jade Barber was born June 27, 1991...daughter of Henry and Patti Barber...has one brother, Alex, and one sister, Karlee...member National Honor Society and Student Government Association...lists her biggest athletic thrill as winning the district championship in the final second of the game...enrolled in the College of Letters and Science.
