Biography

As a freshman (2012): Made first career appearance with 15 minutes in goal in Terps' win over Towson (Oct. 14).

Before Maryland: Came to Maryland as a greyshirt in the spring of 2012...member of the U.S. Under-19 National team and has spent time at the Olympic Training Center in California...four-year varsity starter from the Academy of the Holy Cross was named to the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference First Team in each of her four years and was the 2011 WCAC Player of the Year...led Holy Cross to four straight WCAC titles and has been named All-Met by the Washington Post in 2009, 2010, 2011.

Personal: Jillian Sweet Genovese...parents are Joseph Genovese and Bonnie Sweet...has two siblings, Nick and Sam...her sports hero is Alex Ovechkin...came to Maryland for the field hockey program, the coaches, the team and a good education.
