As a Senior (2021): Played in 24 games, starting 23 behind the dish … ranked second on the team with nine home runs … scored a run in his season debut at Penn State (3/20) … got his first hit of the season and drew three walks at Ohio State (3/28) … went 1-for-3 and scored a run against Northwestern (4/2) … hit his first homer of the season at Nebraska (4/9) … drove in a run against Ohio State (4/16) …  homered and drove in two against Minnesota (5/2) … hit a school record-tying three home runs in a 4-for-5 effort and drove in four runs at Illinois, was named Big Ten Player of the Week (5/8) … homered against Purdue (5/14) … hit two home runs at #24 Michigan (5/21) … homered and went 3-for-4 with three RBI in the NCAA Tournament against Norfolk State (6/5) … had a game-winning walk-off single against Charlotte in the NCAA Tournament to advance to the regional final (6/6) … scored a run against #12 East Carolina in the regional final (6/6)

As a Sophomore (2019): Played in 53 games with 53 starts as the Terps' starting catcher...slashed .222/.354/.432 with 10 home runs and nine doubles...recorded 30 RBIs and 33 runs scored...accumulated 41 hits with 25 walks to 76 strikeouts...was hit by 13 pitches...went 1-for-1 on stolen bases...had 12 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games...had a season high 16-game reached base streak...had a home run and three RBIs in the season opener against Campbell (2/15)...had two hits and an RBI at Louisiana (3/1)...had three hits, two runs scored and a stolen base against Delaware (3/5)...had two hits including a home run, two RBIs and a run scored at Stetson (3/10)...reached base three times, scored three times and notched a double at Elon (3/19)...had a home run and three RBIs against Creighton (3/23)...notched a home run at William & Mary (4/3)...notched five RBIs and a home run against William & Mary (4/9)...hit a home run and accumulated three RBIs at Northwestern in game two of a doubleheader (4/13)...notched a home run and two hits at Penn State (4/27)...hit a home run at Villanova (5/1)...had two hits including a home run in the first round fo the Big Ten Tournament against Illinois (5/22).

As a Freshman (2018): Made 22 appearances with 20 starts...slashed .174/.296/.348 and notched three home runs...drove in seven runs and scored 10 times...scored a pair of runs in his first career appearance against Ball State (3/4)...notched his first career hit, a home run at Richmond (3/27)...hit his second home run against Illinois (4/6)...notched a pair of hits against Purdue (4/20)...notched a hit in his final four appearances of the year. 

Before Maryland: Starred in baseball and hockey at Wyoming Valley West High School...selected in the 31st round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals...named the Citizens Voice Baseball Player of the Year...hit .486 and slugged .622...a two-time NAPHL Hockey All-Star.

Personal: Son of JR and Karen Vought...has three siblings, Kenny, Garrett and Hayden...also recruited by Virginia Tech and NC State.
