Caragh Wood, MS, ATC

Caragh Wood was hired in Fall 2018 as the Athletic Trainer for women’s soccer after previously working as the Resident Athletic Trainer for the track and field and cross county programs.

In her time with the cross country and track and field programs, Wood worked with seven national qualifiers, including an NCAA Runner-Up. Wood completed her Master's Degree from Clemson University in athletic leadership in August 2018.  

Wood started her first job as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Wingate University. She was responsible for both the women’s soccer and men's and women's track and field teams. During her time at Wingate, she worked with multiple national qualifiers including two NCAA Runners-Up and the program’s first SAC Championship win.

In 2016, Wood graduated from UNC Charlotte with her Bachelor's of Science degree in athletic training. During her time at UNC Charlotte, she worked with the 49er football and volleyball programs as well as local high schools. Wood was also a 49er student athlete herself, as a Division I cross country and track and field athlete.

Wood is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and is currently CPR/AED certified.

A native from Woodbine, Md., Wood currently resides in Washington DC with her husband Tyler.
