Keith Sneddon joined the Maryland media relations staff in the fall of 2015 as a media relations assistant, before being elevated to the role of assistant director of media relations in the spring of 2018. Sneddon has worked with several programs during his tenure in College Park, currently handling media relations efforts of the men’s lacrosse and women’s soccer programs while assisting with men’s basketball communications.
Sneddon is the co-founder, co-host, producer and technical director of the department’s podcast “Hear The Turtle”, which debuted in the summer of 2017.
As a media relations assistant, Sneddon served as the primary contact for the Terrapin wrestling, softball and track and field programs.
Prior to returning to his alma mater, Sneddon served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and as an Athletics Communications Assistant at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
Sneddon got his start in the media relations field at the University of Maryland as a student intern. While attending UMD, he served as the primary contact for both men’s and women’s golf in 2013.
During his time at Maryland, Sneddon was also an accomplished rugby athlete for the Terps, holding roles as President and Recruiting Chair for the University of Maryland Rugby Club. He was a three-time All-Atlantic Coast Rugby League First Team selection, and helped his team to the 2011 and 2012 ACRL Championships.
Sneddon graduated for the University of Maryland in the spring of 2013 with a B.A. in communication and is currently pursuing a master's of business administration at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
