Benjamin Nash

Benjamin Nash serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Operations at the University of Maryland. He originally joined Maryland in June 2014 as an assistant equipment manager for men’s basketball and enters his 11th school year with the department in 2024–25.

Nash is the primary equipment manager for the men’s and women’s basketball programs, as well as softball, gymnastics, and both golf programs. In addition, he oversees the Under Armour/Maryland partnership and manages the day-to-day equipment operations for both the Barry P. Gossett Basketball Performance Center and the XFINITY Center. Nash serves as the main liaison between the equipment department and the official outfitter of Maryland’s varsity intercollegiate athletics programs.

Before coming to Maryland, Nash gained experience as an assistant equipment manager at the University of Virginia in 2014, working with the football program. He also spent the 2013–14 season at UConn in a similar role and served as the head student equipment manager at Towson University from 2011–13.

A 2013 graduate of Towson University, Nash earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business. Nash is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Manager Association.

Nash resides in Columbia, Md., with his wife, Melissa.
