Jessica enters her first year at the University of Maryland and comes to us after 3 years at the University of South Florida. While at USF, Jessica’s primary sport responsibility was the volleyball program. Additionally, she assisted with the maintenance of inventory of medical supplies and equipment for primary and satellite clinics.
Under Jessica’s care, the USF volleyball program saw thorough developments in their injury prevention protocols. Jessica developed and incorporated chronic workload management plans to prevent lower leg stress injuries, utilized VERT Systems for analysis of training load and competition performance, and directed daily team dynamic warmup and cooldown activities for practice and game days. During her time as a graduate student and resident athletic trainer, Jessica helped guide her athletes through the COVID-19 pandemic. She collaborated with team physicians, coaches, and school administrators in development and execution of COVID-19 protocols for volleyball specific return to play protocols. Jessica graduated from the University of South Florida in 2021 with her Master of Science in Advance Athletic Training with a focus in Pediatric Sports Medicine.
Before beginning her career at USF, Nodal attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As an Athletic Training Student, she worked with the UNLV Football and Swim & Dive programs. She graduated in 2019 with a Dual Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology.
Jessica is a BOC Certified Athletic trainer and Maryland Licensed Athletic Trainer. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and holds additional certifications in CPR/AED technique, IV Therapy, and the Female Body Project.
Jessica is a native of Las Vegas and currently resides in Riverdale, she enjoys hiking, good coffee and meeting new dogs.
