University of Maryland Athletics

Allie Hanlon returned to Maryland Athletics in 2021. She currently serves as the Assistant Athletics Director of Facilities, Operations and Events. In her role, Hanlon oversees the FOE Department and acts as the Game Administrator for Football and Men’s Basketball. She enters her fourth school year since returning to Maryland in 2024-25. 

Prior to returning to Maryland, Hanlon was the Operations Manager for Major Events at Ridgewells Catering, where she worked with the USGA on the US Open of Golf Championships. Before Ridgewells, she was the Senior Meetings and Events Manager for JDC Events, working with Corporate, Nonprofit and government clients planning large scale events.

In her previous time at Maryland, Hanlon held many jobs within the Facilities, Operations and Events office starting as a student staff member working all the way up to Assistant AD.

Hanlon is a 2007 graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Marketing. She received her Master's degree from the George Washington University in Tourism Administration. She lives in Silver Spring, Md. with her husband, Matt, and their two children.
