CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Maryland senior Keith Unikel (Potomac, Md.) shot his best round of three on Monday
to climb to three-over par and lead the Terrapins to a ninth-place finish at the Cavalier Classic at Charlottesville's
Birdwood Golf Club.
Unikel (73-74-72--219) completed the 6,875-yard track with a par 72 to finish in 19th place individually. Unikel was
two strokes better than sophomore teammate Corey Brigham (Rumson, N.J.) who finished tied for 28th.
Other Terrapin finishers included senior Gary Mankulish (Laurel, Md.) who shot eight-over, 224. Mankulish (77-71-
76, 224) shot his highest rounds of the fall season to finish 42nd. Phillip Fenstermaker (Rockville, Md.) and Dan
McDonald (Plandome, N.Y.) finished 47th and 55th, respectively, with scores of 225 and 228.
Maryland is idle until Oct. 5-6 when it competes at the UT-Chatanooga Fall Classic.
