COLLEGE PARK, Md.- The University of Maryland women's volleyball team lost to Georgia Tech (0-3) 9-15, 3-15, 4-15, Friday night at Ritchie Coliseum. The Terps' have lost four straight contests and head coach Janice Kruger still needs four wins this season to reach the 250-mark for her career in College Park.
Maryland failed to have a player reach double-digit kills on the night. Freshman outside hitter Maria DiLivio (Hamilton, Ontario) led the Terps with five kills while fellow freshman Lynnsy Jones (Castro Valley, Calif.) led the team with six digs.
Junior middle hitter Ky Bell recorded seven kills and 11 digs for the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech improves to 21-4 overall and an ACC-best 11-1 while the Terrapins fall to 13-12 overall and 4-9 in the conference.
The Terps return to action tomorrow versus Clemson in the final home contest of the season. The match will also be the last time that seniors Nnenna Amobi (Silver Spring, Md.) and Maren Stuart (Tampa, Fla.) will play in front of the home crowd. The match is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
