COLLEGE PARK, Md.- Sophomore setter Lindsay Davey (Aurora, Colo.) recorded a match-high 39 assists but it was not enough as the University of Maryland women's volleyball team lost to Duke University (1-3) 11-15, 15-11, 6-15, 10-15 Saturday afternoon at Ritchie Coliseum.
Sophomore outside hitter Carey Brennan (Smithburg, Md.) led the Terp attack with 14 kills and 14 digs. Senior middle hitter Nnenna Amobi (Silver Spring, Md.) posted ten kills and four blocks in the loss for Maryland.
With the loss, Maryland falls to 9-5 on the season and 1-2 in the ACC. Duke improves to 10-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
The Terrapins return to action Friday, Sept. 29 at Clemson. The match is set to begin 7:00 p.m.
