COLLEGE PARK, Md.- In an effort to provide Terrapin fans with easy access to kickoff times -- 24 hours a day, seven days a week -- the athletic department has set up the following hotline -- 301-314-TIME -- in which game time information can be accessed. Game times will be updated as soon as they become available.

Kickoff times for the first month of University of Maryland's 2001 football season have already been established (see schedule below), but remaining kickoff times are based on arrangements with the Atlantic Coast Conference's television partners (ABC, ESPN and Jefferson-Pilot).

Those network entities have already made their game selections for the month of September, but once October and November arrive, as conference races build to a climax and college football speeds toward New Year's Day, ABC, ESPN and JP Sports move to a 12-day selection in order to showcase the best games each week.

Each Monday by 4 p.m., ABC, ESPN and JP Sports choose game selections for Saturday of the following week. You can find out what time Maryland will be playing - home or away - by calling 301-314-TIME.
