Terps To Play On Television Twice in 2004

Aug. 13, 2004

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's soccer team will play two games on television this season, head coach Sasho Cirovski announced today. Maryland's NCAA semifinal rematch with St. John's will appear live on CN8 on Sept. 10, at 8 p.m., with the game re-run on Comcast Sports Net over that weekend. Maryland's Oct. 14 contest against Penn State will appear at 9 p.m. on Comcast Sports Net, and will re-air on October 16 at 9 p.m. on CN8. "I am delighted to continue our partnership with CN8 and CSN," Cirovski said. "Last season, our three regular season games on TV were a real treat for our fans. I know the players, parents and all fans of college soccer were appreciative. The exposure is tremendous for our program and we hope to continue to excite and grow our fan base. The Terps are coming off a second consecutive 20-win season and back-to-back appearances at the College Cup. The Maryland women's soccer team will also be on television this season, as the Terps' Oct. 23 date against Duke will appear live on CN8 at 7 p.m. Comcast Sports Net will re-air the game at a time yet to be determined over that weekend.
