COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
According to the most recent NSCAA/adidas Coaches Poll, the Maryland men's soccer team is the No. 1 team in the country. The Terps are ranked No. 1 in that poll for only the second time in school history. Maryland was the top-ranked team in the country from Sept. 8-Sept. 29 last season. UC Santa Barbara is ranked second, followed by Michigan, UNC Greensboro and St. John's in the top five.
Maryland (5-0-1) also garnered the top ranking in two other major polls, CollegeSoccerNews.com and SoccerTimes.com. The Terps are second in the Soccer America poll.
The Terps will put their No. 1 ranking on the line tomorrow, Sept. 22, on the road at William & Mary.
