Terps Today: Who is the most famous person you've ever met?
Nneka Cardoza: Common, who's a rapper, and Anthony Hamilton, who's a singer.

Terps Today: If you could have one song play every time you entered a room, what song would it be?
NC: 'Round Here' by Memphis Bleek.

Terps Today: What are your plans after you graduate?
NC: After I graduate I probably want to work with at-risk children. I'm not sure where yet, but that's something I really want to do.

Terps Today: Would you rather hit the game-winning home run or make the game-ending defensive play?
NC: I'd rather hit the game-winning home run.

Terps Today: Who is your favorite athlete at Maryland?
NC: Crystal Tweedy.

Terps Today: Describe the Maryland softball team in one word.
NC: Intense.

Terps Today: Which teammate makes you laugh the hardest?
NC: Abbey Welch.

Terps Today: In a movie about your softball career, who would play you and what would the title be?
NC: Since I wish I looked like her, Jada Pinkett-Smith. And it would be titled "The Game."

Terps Today: If you could be on any reality television show, which one would you choose?
NC: The Real World.

Terps Today: What is your favorite sport besides softball?
NC: Volleyball.

Senior Nneka Cardoza has started every game at shortstop for the Terrapins this season.

Terps Today: If you could have 50 pounds of anything, what would you want?
NC: Moolah!

Terps Today: What has been your most memorable game as a Terrapin?
NC: So far it was the game that we beat the University of Georgia.

Terps Today: What will you miss the most about Maryland softball after you graduate?
NC: I'll miss playing.

Terps Today: What is your favorite field to play at other than the Terrapin Softball Complex?
NC: There's no place like home.

Terps Today: What's your favorite play in softball?
NC: When there's a 3-2 count with two outs and you're on base and you can just run on the pitch. I love that.

Terps Today: Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
NC: I double-knot my cleats and I talk to myself. And I put my clothes on in a certain order.

Terps Today: Excluding players on the current team, who would you choose to go up to bat if your team was down one run with the bases loaded and two outs?
NC: Casey Leiter. She was a clutch hitter.

Terps Today: Describe each of the seniors in one word.
NC: Okay, Crystal Tweedy - insane. Lauren Pollock - happy. Crystal Rizzuto - intense. Jessica Aditays - princess.

Terps Today: What is your favorite Maryland softball camp memory?
NC: There was a girl who was having problems with the girls, she wasn't fitting in so I helped her out and I still see her every once in awhile.

Terps Today: Where does your name come from?
NC: My mom got it out of an African book of names. It means tender and motherly.
