NEWARK, Del. - Terrapin softball player Lauren Pollock has been named to District 2's CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine All-Academic Team, the organization announced. The senior designated player finished third on the team with 14 RBI while maintaining a 3.35 grade point average.

Pollock started 37 games for the Terrapins, mostly at designated player. She batted .214 for the year and drove in 14 runs despite having the second-fewest at bats of the Terrapin starters. Pollock, an elementary education major, is among Maryland's leaders in nearly every offensive category and has been a four-year standout.

The Terrapins finished the season with a 28-21 record and advanced to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament.
