Gary Williams to Appear on Monday Night Live

Bethesda, MD - University of Maryland head basketball coach Gary Williams, last season's Calder Trophy winner Alexander Ovechkin, and Washington Redskins Pro-Bowler Santana Moss join Monday Nite Live hosts Renaldo Wynn and Jon Jansen Oct. 9, from 7-8 p.m., for Comcast SportsNet's live show.

Monday Nite Live is shot each week on location at Champps in Reston, Va. The show blends sports and entertainment offering fans a unique look at the latest news affecting the Redskins, with Wynn and Jansen providing insight from their respective sides of the ball. Comcast SportsNet also mixes in live music and special guests from the worlds of sports, entertainment, and politics. Sports fans are encouraged to stop by Champps to be part of the live studio audience.

Williams is the all-time winningest coach in Maryland basketball history and led the team to its first NCAA championship. He is set to begin his 18th season as the Terps' head coach. Ovechkin, last season's Rookie of the Year, was selected as a first-team NHL All-Star. He finished the season with 52 goals and 106 points, becoming only the second rookie in league history to notch more than 50 goals and 100 points in a season. Moss currently leads the Redskins in receiving yards and was selected to his first Pro Bowl squad in 2005, also establishing a new single-season team record for receiving yards.
