COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Gary Williams Radio Show, featuring Maryland head basketball coach Gary Williams and Hall of Fame broadcaster Johnny Holliday, will make its 2006-07 debut Monday, November 6, at R.J. Bentley's in College Park. The live call-in show will air throughout the season on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network. Monday's season-preview show will run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Students, alumni and all Terrapin fans are invited to join the Terps head coach each week throughout the season and will have opportunities to win Maryland Basketball Prize Packs. Fans will also be able to ask questions on-location at R.J. Bentley's or by calling toll free (800) 518-4012.
Williams, who is entering his 18th season as head coach at his alma mater, conducts the weekly-call-in show alongside Holliday, who has been the "Voice of the Terps" for 28 years.
The show airs on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network, which includes flagship stations WHFS 105.7 FM and ESPN Radio AM-1300 in Baltimore; Network affiliates include: WMAL AM-630 (Washington, DC), WTBO AM-1450 (Cumberland), WFMD AM-930 (Frederick), WARK AM-1490 (Hagerstown), WMSG AM-1050 (Oakland), WQMR 101.1 FM (Ocean City), WCEM AM-1240 (Cambridge); and WAMD AM-970 (Aberdeen).
The Terps tip off the 2006-07 regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 7, when they host Hampton in the opening round of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic.
