Milbourne Completes Tour With East Coast All-Stars

WEVELGEM, Belgium - Maryland sophomore Landon Milbourne completed his seven-day tour of Holland and Belgium with the East Coast All-Stars on Thursday (August 15). After dropping their first two games of the trip to the Dutch National Team, the all-stars posted a 3-2 record in Belgium to finish the trip with an overall mark of 3-4.

Milbourne, who saw action in all seven games for the All-Stars, averaged 13.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest. He scored in double figures in six of the team's seven games and finished with at least 15 points on three occasions.

The trip began with an 84-68 setback against the Dutch National Team. Milbourne tallied 11 points, three rebounds and three steals in the loss. The Dutch National team, led by the San Antonio Spurs' Francisco Elson's 25 points, claimed a 71-69 victory over the all-stars in a rematch the following night. Milbourne recorded seven points, three rebounds, two steals and one block in the second game of the trip.

After traveling to Belgium, the all-stars fell to 0-3 following a 93-80 loss to Leuven. Milbourne led four all-stars in double figures with a team-high 16 points. He also posted four rebounds, three steals and one block. The all-stars closed the trip with three wins in their last four games. The first victory was an 83-76 win over Optima Gent. For the second consecutive game, Milbourne led the team in scoring with 16 points to go with five rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.

The all-stars picked up their second win with an 83-64 victory over St. Jan Antwerp. Milbourne scored in double figures for the third consecutive game with 14 points. He added four rebounds, five steals, two blocked shots and one assist for another solid all-around effort. Boom BBC handed the all-stars a 106-94 defeat in the sixth game of the trip. Milbourne recorded 11 points, three rebounds, one steal and one assist in the loss.

The East Coast All-Stars concluded the trip with a 100-85 victory over Wevelgem BBC. Milbourne scored 17 points and hauled in three rebounds. Joining Milbourne on the 2007 East Coast Roster was: Alvin Bray (St. Joseph's), Steven D'Agostino (Saint Rose), Bryan Davis (Texas A&M), Anthony Farmer (Rutgers), Jaron Griffin (Rutgers), Brett Harvey (Loyola), Josh Linthicum (Bucknell), Zach Peacock (Georgia Tech), Rio Pitt (Stony Brook) and Perry Stevenson (Kentucky). Stony Brook assistant coach Guy Rancourt served as head coach on the tour.

Milbourne appeared in 16 games as a freshman for the Terps in 2006-07. He scored a personal-best five points at St. John's in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic and again against Missouri-Kansas City. Milbourne made his collegiate debut against Hampton on November 7 and played 16 minutes off the bench.
