- The Terrapins made their 15th consecutive postseason appearance by advancing to the second round of the MasterCard National Invitation Tournament. Maryland finished the season 19-15, marking the 12th straight season the Terps won at least 19 games.
- Maryland went 8-8 in the ACC, marking the 15th season the Terrapins have won at least seven league games. It is the third longest streak of at least seven league wins in conference history.
- The Terrapins posted an 82-80 win over top-ranked North Carolina on January 19. Maryland is now tied for second in NCAA history with 10 wins over the No. 1 team in the nation. Coach Gary Williams ranks first among all active head coached with seven career wins over top-ranked teams. Maryland now has 15 wins over top-10 teams in the last six years.
- Maryland was among the nation's best defensive teams. The Terps led the ACC and were fifth nationally in blocked shots (6.6 bpg). Maryland led the conference and was 20th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (.395).
- The Terrapins made at least one three point shot in each of the team's 34 games this season. Maryland has made at least one three-point shot in 320 consecutive games.
- Head coach Gary Williams is the eighth-winningest active head coach in Division I men's basketball. Maryland's 70-65 victory over Boston College on February 6 gave Williams his 600th career win. Only seven other active head coaches in Division I have 600 career wins.
- The Terrapins blocked 222 shots this season, the third highest single-season total in school history.
- Maryland set a new school record for total home attendance, as 341,050 fans packed into Comcast Center this season to watch the Terrapins.
- Senior James Gist joined elite company this season as he became just one of five players in school history to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 blocked shots. Gist finished his career with 1,414 points, 783 rebounds and 231 blocked shots.
- As a senior, Gist was named second team All-ACC and was named to the ACC All-Defensive team. He was second in the ACC in blocked shots (2.33 bpg) and was fourth in rebounding (7.9 rpg). Gist was third in the league in field goal percentage (.496) and was eighth in scoring (15.9 ppg). He was second in the league in defensive rebounds (6.1 rpg).
- Sophomore Greivis Vasquez finished the year with 231 assists, the third-highest single-season output in school history. Vasquez led the league with 6.8 assists per game, while his 231 helpers was the second-highest output among sophomores at Maryland. He tied the school record with 15 assists against NC State. His 62 three pointers was a school-best among sophomores at Maryland.
- A second-team All-ACC selection, Vasquez was fourth in the conference in scoring (17.0 ppg), 20th in rebounding (5.7 rpg), seventh in defensive rebounds (4.8 rpg), tenth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.55) and second in the league in minutes played (37.00).
- Sophomore Eric Hayes finished the season with 138 assists, the eighth-highest total for sophomores at Maryland. Hayes finished the season sixth in the ACC in assists per game (4.6 apg) and was fourth in assist to turnover ratio (1.89).
