COLLEGE PARK, Md. - They were certainly three of the tallest graduates at commencement ceremonies on Thursday night.

Men's basketball student-athletes James Gist, Bambale Osby and Jason McAlpin each received bachelors degrees Thursday at the Spring 2008 Commencement at the University of Maryland's Comcast Center.

Usually patrolling the basketball floor at Comcast, the Terps' trio made great use of their arena for academic purposes. The senior class of 2008 went 3-for-3 in terms of earning degrees.

McAlpin earned his bachelors in marketing, while Gist and Osby earned degrees in family studies.
