POSITION TITLE:  Assistant Director of Sports Marketing

 

DEPARTMENT:      Intercollegiate Athletics

 

CATEGORY:           Full-time, Exempt (112255)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Assistant Director of Sports Marketing will assist the development of marketing programs and activities that cultivate interest and support for all 27 sports at the university. Specific responsibilities include: Development of the marketing initiatives, promotional materials and game operations for Men's Soccer (2005 National Champions) and Men's Lacrosse (2004, 2005 ACC Champs); assistance of game day operations and promotions for football, and men's and women's basketball; managing the student-intern program which includes hiring, training and evaluating six paid students and twenty volunteer students. The Assistant Director will also help develop video content for team websites and promotional uses.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree required.  A minimum of two years experience in sports marketing (preferably in a Division I athletic program) or entertainment environment.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), familiarity with Photoshop, and non-linear editing experience (Final Cut) preferred.

 

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
