GREENSBORO, N.C. -
Two Maryland softball players, junior Niki Lau and senior Devon Williams, both earned a spot on the Atlantic Coast Conference's All-Academic team for their outstanding performances in the classroom this past year.
To be awarded a spot on the team, student athletes must earn and maintain a GPA of 3.0 for the most recent semester and for their careers.
Lau, from Centennial, Colo., is a first-time honoree and is majoring in kinesiology. Williams, a marketing major from Cleveland, N.C., was named to the team for the second time in her career as a Terrapin, as she earned a spot on the All-Academic team last year. All eight ACC softball teams were represented on the 30-player roster.
