  • Maryland is 13-1 at Comcast Center this season, including wins in all six of its ACC games this year. Overall, the Terps have won seven straight home games. The Terrapins have been one of the hottest teams in the nation since the calendar turned to 2010, going 11-3 in that stretch including an overtime loss at Wake Forest. Maryland has won three straight and five of its last six.

  • Senior guard Greivis Vasquez had a big hand in helping Maryland to a 3-0 record last week. He averaged 24.7 points per game in the three games and earned ACC Player of the Week honors for the third time this season and the seventh time in his career. Vasquez was also the ESPN.com National Player of the Week, as announced on Monday.

  • Against Georgia Tech, Vasquez became only the sixth Terrapin in history to record 2,000 points in his career. Now with 2,013 points, he is two points behind John Lucas and four points behind Adrian Branch on his way up the ladder of career scoring leaders in school history. Vasquez has also become the only player in the amazing history of the ACC ever to record at least 2,000 points, 700 assists and 600 rebounds in his career.

  • Junior guard Cliff Tucker hit the game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer for the Terrapins in last Saturday's win over Georgia Tech. It was the first time a Terrapin has hit a buzzer-beater to win a game since Drew Nicholas canned a 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat UNC Wilmington in an NCAA Tournament first-round game in March 2003. Nicholas' heroic shot lifted the Terps to a 75-73 win over UNC Wilmington in that game.

  • Freshman forward Jordan Williams fell one point away from recording three straight double-doubles last week. He had 11 points and 11 boards against Virginia, 19 points and 11 rebounds at NC State and ended the week with nine points and a dozen rebounds against Georgia Tech. Williams is now averaging 8.2 rebounds per game this season, having moved up to fifth in the league in rebounding.

  • Maryland enters this week's games among national leaders in several statistical categories. The Terps are fifth in field-goal percentage defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 37.4 percent from the floor. Maryland is 11th in scoring margin at 13.2 points per game, 15th in assists per game (16.4) and 16th in assist-turnover ratio (1.36).
